Emily and her siblings were eight weeks old in July 2005, when they were abandoned as babies at a shelter. All the siblings had serious eye infections and were sufferinf from starvation when they were abandoned at a shelter. Everyone recovered from their eye infections and effects of starvation- except Emily. Emily's eye infection did not clear up and became worse, where the eye had to be removed. Aa a result of having her eye removed, Emily began to have trust issues with humans. Emily after many months of therapy started to allow me to get close enough to touch her briefly,; and sadly til this day, is still skittish around me. Emily does love to chase a laser light as long as it doesn't move too fast or only on the side of her head where the eye is missing. Emily has a sweet and gentle side that I see briefly when she doesn't think I'm looking- she loves to play ping pong and tag with the babies at SCOOTERS PLACE. Emily would make a wonderful pet for anyone who could be patient with her and be willing to help her over her fears that cause her mistrust. Won't you give her a forever home?
