Misty arrived at SCOOTERS PLACE on 06/08/2007 after SCOOTERS PLACE was contacted that she would be put down if no one was found to take her. Misty suffered physical abuse by having her right front leg twisted in an attempt to break it. The leg did not break but she was then abandoned to die. Misty was taken to SCOOTERS PLACE in hopes of being rehabilitated and adopted to her forever home. After many months of physical therapy, Misty went from carrying the leg close to her chest, to dragging the leg around, to occasionally putting pressure on the footpad, to running and playing on it! Misty loves to sit in someone's lap if their in a rocker. Misty is shy though if you are standing in front of her just to pet her- she'll run away because she's still a little afraid of humans. Misty loves to go fishing for her toy balls in her swimming pool. Won't you give her a forever home?
