Dog comes to us as a stray and is adorable. Since we test every dog for worms, ehrlicia (tick related disease) Heartworm (mosquito given disease) he was tested and found to have Ehrlicia and Heart worm. Since he was beautifully groomed we figured another group knew this and knowing we wouldn't put him down, sent someone with a concocted story but we did not put the dog down, he was extensivelly and expensivelly treated and is now okay and is gaining weight a very good sign, he came in at 11 lbs and has gained now to 13,2 about his normal weight. He is ok health wise but will always test positive for Ehrlicia so never waste your money on a vet test. Like all dogs we recommend life long tick treatment with tiny amount of solution between shoulders you can get this at any pet store and Heart Guard Plus monthly available at any vet's or on line with proof of this test we did. Dog is playful and adorable and has had all shots permanent for life for parvo distemper, rabies is a 3 year shot and kennel cough and has been wormed. Heart Guard Plus keeps dog free of all worms so is good bet. (or similar) Dog is microchipped and ready to go and adoption is $100 cash or check. Dog is playful. and waits to pee and poop until being let out may be house broken. Likely good with kids and other dogs, a perfect pet.
